Clay Fish

Here are some gorgeous examples of year 7 clay work.  This semester the year 7s made fish with a pinch pot body as a starter.  They had created 4 designs and had done some drawing and internet research prior to the making stage.  They then went onto texturize the body, add mouths, lips, eyes, fins and tails.  I just love that they have all come out differently!  This was the first time that I had worked with glazes ever, so I was very excited to see the results.  The white and black eyes were under glazes which had gloss added ontop before firing for the final time.

woops, a little breakages which was easily fixed with some glue...
